Building an Atom Model HANDOUT 1 HANDOUT 2 HANDOUT 3 Lesson Power Point	This lesson is designed to familiarize students with the concept of atoms and how they combine to form molecules and compounds. Animations and resources are available on the internet. Students will create a  model of an atom using an old CD. From their results, they will write a summary, apply relevant vocabulary, and answer questions about the project using correct punctuation, sentence structure, and experimental method.
Molarity Experiment HANDOUT 1 HANDOUT 2 Lesson Power Point	This lesson is designed to familiarize students with the concept of molarity and how this relates to the concentration of a solution. Animations and resources are available on the internet. Students will determine the molarity of an unknown concentration of HCL using an indicator and an NaOH tirtation. From their results, they will write a summary using real time writing, apply relevant vocabulary, and answer questions about the project using correct punctuation, sentence structure, and experimental method.

Students will prepare pineapple jell-o with fresh and canned ingredients and compare the enzyme activity.
Rock Art Classification HANDOUT 1 HANDOUT 2 HANDOUT 3 HANDOUT 4 Lesson Power Point	This lesson is designed to familiarize students with the fascinating world of Rock Art, and give them practice in creating and using Power Point and Access. For this activity, we will focus on images from SE Utah, because that is where the pictures were taken. Rock Art is everywhere. I encourage you to use the Power Point and Access file as a guide, and then go out and explore the early history of your area. I am blessed to live in the Southwest, where these images tell many stories, but there are always new stories to tell. Students will collect data from the images provided, and place the information into an access data base template to share with other students and research more scientifically.
