Activity
1: Write a short letter in Word and use Mail Merge to send it to at
least five different people. Print two of your letters and
place them in your portfolio.

2 (Optional): Write a short paragraph describing the mail merge
process, step by step.
Read
a model paragraph describing the process of replanting a tree.
A potted
tree can be easily replanted following a few simple steps. First, dig
a hole which is at least twice the size of the pot holding the tree
roots. Place a layer of potting soil mixed with regular soil at the
bottom of the hole and wet it thoroughly. Next, remove the tree from
the pot , keeping all of the soil around it, and place it in the
center of the hole. Continue by placing new layers of potting soil
mixed with regular soil around the tree until the how is full. Make
sure that the soil around the tree isn't more than an inch higher than
it was in the pot. Finally, soak the area around the tree thoroughly.
Water the tree every day until the new roots are healthy in their new
environment.
