Leecy Wise, M.A.,  Webmaster and Trainer - DE Consultant/Trainer, The Reconnection Company, Cortez, Colorado   

Over 30 years of teaching, administration, curriculum development and consulting in the U.S. and abroad among a variety of populations and programs. Trilingual. Presently supervise curriculum development and develop curriculum and materials for television, interactive video, Internet, and teleclass courses to train adult education leaders and practitioners in Colorado; develop networks to offer DE information in a number of different formats;  teach DE/technology classes on a variety of subjects to K-12 and adult educators who want to integrate technology into instruction; teach and develop curriculum and materials for two-way audio/one-way video delivery to teach basic skills to students in the Four Corners Region; conduct workshops on a variety of issues related to adult educators' needs (computer and web development tools, SCANS, grant writing, math, ESL, learning disabilities, reading, writing, and others); write grants or assist in efforts to bring funding for educational technology and curriculum into the area. Thrive on the outdoors and love to have life in various forms around me. Hoping to understand humans. Have always loved them.

Robert Rhodes, PhD., Curriculum Coordinator, Developer, and Trainer- Instructor, NAU and UP, Hotevilla, Arizona

Dr. Rhodes has lived and taught on the Hopi and Navajo reservations since 1971, beginning at Hotevilla-Bacavi Community school and since working with Northern Arizona University and the University of Phoenix.  In addition to serving as a teacher of students from preschool through graduate school, researcher and administrator, Dr. Rhodes has provided training on various aspects of Native American Education.  His book, Nurturing Learning in Native American Students has become a standard for educators of Native Americans throughout the nation.  His other publications include two other books and 15 articles. 

Dr. Rhodes has served as manager for artists Charles Loloma, Sonwai (Verma Nequatewa), Bryson Nequatewa and Jeanette Katoney.   He has served on the school-accrediting agency for the Dine Nation (North Central Association, Dine State Committee) and the Hotevilla Water Association.  He has another business, Sonwai, which provides consulting services, photovoltaic installations and international wholesale/retail product and services distribution.

    q Instructor for Pueblo Community College-Environmental Science, Biology, and Anatomy Physiology. q    Recipient of Star Schools Grant 2001-2002. Developed an online integrated learning curriculum. www.integratelearning.org . Continue to provide research, video and materials to target enhanced learning for Native Americans. q    Provide hands-on small-scale science instruction for adult education programs and public school learning environments in the Southwest. q Develop an online health/environmental education program for integrated learners.
