Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the Zodiac. It is ruled by serious Saturn and shocking Uranus. What a combination! A strong and solid sign, Aquarius governs the mind and originality. You are an air sign, which means you are intelligent, unorthodox and creative. You also tend to be detached and personally uninvolved.

Saturn, your sun planet, is the ruler of the outer darkness. Uranus is the planet of the unorthodox, and that makes you unpredictable. In other words, you often do unexpected things that shock or surprise people. Yet, because of Saturn's influence, you can appear strong and solid. You can work well in a structured or defined setting.

You are an idealist. At the same time, you are an independent thinker.

As a solid aquarian, you can be stubborn. You resist imposed changes. You tend to rebel if someone demands something unreasonable of you. Aquarians are naturally skeptical.

In relationships, you can seem mentally interested, but not passionate or possessive. Of course, you do not really lack passion. When you focus your feelings, your passion is strong.

You are probably a great cook. However, you'll eat just about anything! You like sports that include other people. Camping, ballooning, tennis, racquetball and baseball are cool for you. Aquarians are well-suited as inventors, politicians, writers, scientists, astronauts, artists and, you guessed it, astrologers!

Aquarian colours are silver, aqua, purple and bright pink and blue. Your birthstone is amethyst, the healing gemstone. The ametyst returns and keeps mental balance. Flowers for Aquarians include the gladioli, tiger lily, trillium and bird of paradise. Your animal symbol is the snow goose.
