You are always optimistic and often have good luck just when you need it the most. You are interested in the theoretical and philosophical fields. You may have difficulty from putting things off and commitments. You prefer to keep all choices open. You may lean toward the single life.

Description

Sagittarius, the Archer, is the ninth sign of the zodiac. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of fortune and good luck. It is a changeable, masculine sign. Sagittarius governs long-distance travel, matters of the higher mind (philosophy, religion and the law) and having a good time! It is a fire sign, so Sagittarius people are positive and direct communicators. They love traveling. They tend to be restless and hate to take orders.

Sagittarians are idealists and usually much in demand socially because they are like a breath of fresh air.

Sagittarius is a dual sign, which has both an up and a down-side. The symbols for Sagittarius are the hunter (archer) and the centaur, a mythical half-man, half-horse. These are symbols of the search for truth and knowledge. They also lead to the constant search for adventure and new ideas. That's why you do get bored when you are around dull people or circumstances.

You would rather learn on your own and probably dislike structured classrooms and routine work. However, after you gain experience in the world on your own, you could become an excellent teacher or administrator!

As a frank Sagittarius, you do not hesitate to give an honest opinion. Sometimes this may seem rude, but you rarely mean to be cruel. You have a good sense of humor even when things are tough.

You prefer to be the boss in any situation but you must constantly watch your tongue. You have a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later. You are always bubbling with energy and enthusiasm. You are independent and hard to pin down for long, so you may prefer the single life. Even married Sagittarians make sure they keep some personal independence.

Sagittarians have a passion for sports, including archery, jogging, hang gliding, sailing, and fishing (especially for big game fish). You love good food and may sometimes feel like going on a diet. You are a natural gambler and risk-taker. You usually come out on the winning side. You love music, art, dance, and drama and probably have a lot of talent in these areas.

Sagittarians are well-suited as travel agents, explorers, professors, photographers, ambassadors, import-export traders and thrill seekers.

Your colors are maroon, tan, navy, orange, and cobalt blue. The ancients associated the ruby with Sagittarius. Modern astrologers give this sign the turquoise. Your very adaptable, dual personality can easily associate itself with both gems. Sagittarius flowers for this sign include the large blooms such as huge mums, hydrangeas, dahlias, and peonies.
